For our Fort Wilderness trip, we wanted some variety, so here is a dish that isn’t pasta. We came up with our version of the classic Chicken Cordon Blue (I’m southern, not French). Since this dish doesn’t have any vegetables in it, we suggest that you pair our recipe with a fresh salad.
Recipe:
- Stove Top Stuffing Mix: prepare according to directions and use chicken stock
- 1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
- 1 cup Milk
- 1TBSP Ranch seasoning
- 1 TBSP Garlic Powder
- 2 TBSP Adobo seasoning
- 1TSP Cayenne
- Canola Oil spray
- 1 lb cooked chicken(we grilled ours with some Cajun seasoning)
- Sliced deli ham Sliced Swiss
- Cheese Sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 and prepare stuff mix using chicken stock
2. Mix together cream of chicken soup and milk
3. Add Ranch seasoning, garlic powder, adobo, seasoning, and cayenne and mix into the soup mixture
4. Spray baking dish with canola oil spray
5. Add chicken to the baking dish
6. Pour soup mixture over the chicken
7. Layer your Swiss cheese to the baking dish
8. Layer your deli ham on top of the Swiss cheese in the baking dish
