Meet your Lazy RV Cooks
Our Camping Experience
Mark began camping with the Boy Scouts as a young boy. Rising through the various ranks, he made life rank and still volunteers with the Scouts BSA today which means camping with the local troop regularly.
For Mark, Boy Scouts ignited a life long passion for camping.
Sarah’s camping story started differently. While growing up in Virginia, she remembers camping with her family a couple of times at the Peaks of Otter and Holiday Lake; however, most of her camping experience consisted of camp cabins with air conditioning. Not much tent experience and NO RV experience.
But this all changed when Mark invited her to go camping at Pirateland in his 1969 pop-up camper. While the glamor of the 1969 pop-up was not spectacular, in fact setting the rig up turned everyone into a sweaty mess, Sarah loved every minute of being near the beach, sitting outside under the cool night air, and cooking food outside.
Together, they bought their first RV in the August 2006 and have been camping ever since
One white Starcraft bunkhouse with no slide outs and the promise of more beach and mountains trips, Mark and Sarah hauled their dream of traveling to new places on to the road.
Their camping isn’t only limited to RVing
They like to take their sense of adventure and tent out on the beach and find a secluded a spot and camp right there on the sand with the sounds of the crashes waves putting them to sleep.
Now, they want to give back and share their experiences with you to help your trips be as lazy as you want them to be. Their combined experience will help you relax more and worry less about cooking in your RV.
Cooking Experience
Most of Mark and Sarah’s cooking experience comes from cooking for their family. While Mark has cooked in a seafood restaurant, he takes his knowledge from those days of grilling burgers and frying hush puppies up to his camp kitchen. Sarah learned to cook heat and eat foods, and when she married Mark, she started watching Food Network in order to eat something beyond frozen pizzas. Her passion for trying new foods and spices led her to read cookbooks and try out new recipes on her family. She has honed her taste and cooking skills so she now creates her own recipes–finding inspiration in ingredients, spices, and the places that she has visited.
